October in Vermont is a kind of magic that feels almost impossible to explain, but Stephanie and Sebastian’s wedding at Mountain Top Resort comes beautifully close. Rolling mountains painted in copper and gold, the lake shimmering quietly in the distance, and a breeze to make a veil dance. Now add two wildly in-love humans, their sweet 2 year old toddling around with delight, and a day built entirely around joy, family, and that unmistakable Vermont glow.
This is a celebration wrapped in autumn light and laughter.
A Love Story Brought to Vermont’s Most Iconic View
They traveled from out of state, like many couples do, drawn to Vermont for the same reason so many fall in love with it: the foliage, the grounding quiet, the kind of beauty that feels like a deep breath.
And Mountain Top Resort delivered. (As it always does.)
The most iconic mountain view at Mountain Top Resort in Vermont- Your perfect destination wedding in the mountains
From the moment she stepped onto the lawn, bouquet in hand, Stephanie radiated pure joy. The kind that bubbles out of someone who is deeply, deeply happy. the best kind of joy a photographer could ask for.
Her bouquet was perfect: golden tones, deep burgundy, soft blushes, and ribbon that caught the wind just enough to for that perfect cinematic shot.
Sebastian wore the most striking deep burgundy velvet jacket: elegant, warm, and perfectly matched to the florals. Together they looked like they stepped out of a fall editorial spread for a luxury magazine.
The ceremony space, on the Knoll with the lake in the distance, framed by soft florals and linens and a sky that opened up with the prettiest October light.
October at Mountain Top offers a kind of natural palette painters dream about: muted sage greens, warm golds, deep rusts, and hints of ruby glowing in the trees.
We wandered along the fence line, the mountains stretching behind us, and captured moments that felt cozy, effortless, and completely them. The view is obviously the star of the show up there but we also wanted some tucked away, cozy forest shots which we delivered on film.
Inside the barn, the tables glowed under soft candlelight and the signature Mountain Top string lights. The florals were following the same fall tones: ochre, wine, blush, cream. Arranged in a style that felt both luxuriously elegant and wildly organic- the signature style of the lead floral designer at Mountain Top's own Meadows Edge Floral, Gayle.
It was warm and intimate. The kind of room that makes you want to slow down and savor every second.
