Apparently, I'm a slightly biased source.

I could tell you I am SO fun to have around, that I will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, that I won't turn your wedding into an eight hour photoshoot and that I'll probably know half your family by the end of the night.

But obviously I am a slightly biased source.

So here are some of the people who actually spent a wedding day with me.

Every word below comes from a real couple or wedding professional I worked with. You can find these (and more) reviews publicly online, too. I simply gathered some of my favorites here:

1. “Real life but better.”

   I knew Idena was my dream wedding photographer before we even got engaged! When it came time to pick a photographer it was a no-brainer. We like to describe her photography style as "real life but better", and that's what she and Mike captured for us on our wedding day. I'm a high stress person typically, but I knew that photos weren't something I had to think twice about because they had it handled completely and helped our day run smoothly even when things much outside of their control (or job description) needed some help. We had an unfortunate situation with our DJ and when Idena saw I was upset she took the time to sit with us and calm our stress and then whisk us away while things were taken care of. Mike jumped into action to make sure speeches were happening on time and get cords set up for us to keep the music going. They went above and beyond what we could have ever expected, and even more they were so kind and supportive in the days following our wedding. Our wedding day ended up being even better than we could have imagined because we had amazing vendors like Idena and Mike and they captured the beautiful moments following with our friends and family that we will never forget. 2 “Her nurturing and non-stressful vibe is not a talent you can teach.”

I recently got married in Vermont (at the Mountain Top Inn) and planned the wedding from Colorado so as you can imagine, it was stressful. From admiring Idena on Instagram I knew this was the photographer for me. I tend to think I am a little quirky and get nervous when the attention is on me. From the very first phone call Idena made me feel completely comfortable. Her nurturing and none stressful vibe is not a talent you can teach and one that every bride wants around her on their special day. Her added perk is that she simple amazing at what she does and has the eye for seeing the best parts of you, your partner and your guests. I also ended up having her husband Mike do the videography for our wedding. Again, this is something that made me incredibly nervous to do. I have gone to other friends weddings and seeing their hired paparazzi following their every move with huge cameras, big mics and these big boom like things…. That was not for me. When I expressed to Idena and Mike my concerns they immediately put all my concerns to rest. They like to capture every moment themselves to make for a better picture and/or story later. None of our guest even knew we were making a video and the mics were tiny. Besides marry my husband, having Idena and Mike capture all the incredible moments, most of which I forgot about (you’re in a fog the day of your wedding)) was truly the best decision I made that day. 3.“Despite not meeting until the Friday of our wedding weekend, I felt like she was a friend.”

Wow- where do I begin? Idena Beach is not only an incredibly talented photographer but more importantly, an incredibly kind, generous and supportive person. I booked Idena for my July 16th wedding because I loved her photography. It's in the moment, vibrant and you can truly feel the emotion behind her work. What I didn't know when I booked Idena was that she'd stick out as the most incredible vendor I'd work with throughout my wedding planning process. I explained to Idena "my vibe" in a very round about, half making sense way and yet she just got it. After a couple of Instagram interactions and emails I felt like she really took the time to figure out what I couldn't articulate about what I wanted for my photos and how to accomplish them. When I needed a new florist 7 months out from the wedding- Idena sent me options and ultimately, one of those options turned into the florist of my dreams! Idena goes ABOVE AND BEYOND for her clients. Despite not meeting until the Friday of our wedding weekend, I felt like she was a friend. She fully met us exactly where we were at and embraced our slight chaotic, at times a bit inappropriate and wild group and just got right in there to capture the magic of the weekend. Oh, did I mention her incredible partner, husband and videographer Mike was as fun, down for anything and professional as she was? They truly are a dynamic duo. My husband and I's friends were a WILD bunch and these two really kept up. From the first look pictures on the wedding day throughout the dance party- Idena and Mike were right there, in the action, not missing a MOMENT. And when it came time to select a song for our wedding video- of course, Idena hit the nail on the head the first try with her song idea. She truly takes the time to get to know the couples she works with and that is priceless. Oh also- we ran almost an hour a head of schedule the entire wedding day because Idena and Mike were so on it, making sure we got the shots but not taking more time than needed. No one felt exhausted or frustrated by the pictures- everyone was just enjoying themselves! Do not hesitate- HIRE THEM! She is worth every (very fairly priced) penny and I am forever grateful to have had her capture our special day. Thank you endlessly Idena and Mike. We got married in September 2021 at a private residence and we can’t say enough great things about our experience working with Idena!! From the very beginning, she was so easy and fun to talk to, and so accommodating. Her “a la carte” menu for the photography packages allowed us to pick and choose what we really needed/wanted for our wedding photography, and stay within our budget. During the pandemic she graciously honored our deposits and changed our date without hesitation and with total understanding which we greatly appreciated. Idena and Mike captured our wedding so wonderfully (especially all the candids!) and we are so, so thankful. Their calm presence (and sense of humor) allowed us to be relaxed on our wedding weekend and enjoy the moments! There are vendors who document a wedding day, and then there are vendors who tell the story of it. That's Idena. She has an incredible ability to notice the in between moments, the glance between a couple, the laughter that wasn't planned, the hugs that happen when no one thinks the camera is watching. Her work feels less like a collection of photos and more like a story you'll want to relive again and again. Beyond her talent, Idena is one of the funniest, kindest, and most down to earth people you'll meet. She brings joy to every wedding day and treats every vendor with the same warmth and respect she gives her couples. Working alongside her always feels effortless. I’ve only seen about 30 pictures of hers so far (our sneak peak) and I’m already in awe of the work and so excited to see the rest. Could not recommend her more highly!! We got married on 8/28 at the Woodstock Inn (Kelly Way Gardens). Idena’s photos from our fall wedding in the Berkshires left us speechless. As we browsed our gallery, we were struck by how many beautiful photos she captured for us. Our photos are clean, bright, and timeless and we cherish them every day. Idena captured the landscape and season so beautifully. She has an incredible eye and heart for the details that make a wedding special—from the small, personal touches that made the day ours to the displays of love and friendship that surrounded us all day long, we have those moments forever captured in her photos. She took the most beautiful family and group photos as well - my husband and I have large families and we wanted a photo of our combined immediate families. With 13 adults and 9 children under 10, it seemed an impossible feat but she captured frame after frame showcasing our beautiful families. We love the photo so much, we enlarged it to 24x36 inches and it’s the center piece in our family room. If you’re on the search for a wedding photographer, look no further and hire Idena immediately. 9.“Our reception was quite the party but they were right there to capture every single moment.”

Looking back on our December wedding, everything was perfect; however, one of the very best decisions we made was hiring Idena Beach as our photographer. Every photo she took for us (from the engagement shoot to the wedding itself) was absolutely breathtaking and exceeded all of our expectations. She has an incredible eye for beautiful shots and knew exactly how to capture the important and special moments of our wedding. When I look back at our enormous gallery of photos from our big day, I am completely unable to choose favorites because all of the photos were incredible. Everybody always tells you how fast your wedding day goes by; but going back through the gallery allows me to relive the amazing day all over again. Beyond the photos themselves, Idena and her husband Mike were hilarious, professional, and sooo hardworking - our reception was quite the party but they were right there to capture every single moment. I could genuinely go on for hours about how amazing Idena and Mike are, but hopefully you get the point - we HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Idena Beach Photography. Wow. What can I say? Idena was AMAZING! We hired Idena for our wedding and used Mike, as our second photographer. They were a power team! They made us feel so comfortable and were so easy to work with. She somehow managed to get our sneak peak pictures to us the morning after our wedding and we were in awe. She nailed every shot! We can’t stop staring at all of our sneak peak pictures and we can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures. Idena and Mike were incredibly sweet to work with, I want to book another shoot just to see them again! We couldn’t recommend Idena Beach photography more- don’t hesitate, book asap!!!!
