I am so excited to share this intimate Vermont wedding with you!
I met these two wonderful people early last year and then reconnected with an engagement shoot. I showed them around my side of Vermont but really just wanted to click with them. Well, it worked! They had a small intimate wedding so it was important both for them and for me that we mesh well together. Hands down, two of the most amazing people I've ever met.
Jamie and Jarred planned a beautiful relaxed day surrounded by only close family and friends and it was nothing short of amazing. The weather was perfection and there was a sense of calm surrounding us all which I am sure will transpire through the images below.
June at the Mountain Top Inn is bursting in color: green mountains, fields of gold and blue skies as far as the eye can see. Pure bliss!
The Mountain Top Inn June Wedding
The landscaping here is beautiful and bursting with color. There is a wonderful English garden vibe to it that I just love…
Fields of gold at The mountain Top Inn
Aaahhh! Peace and calm as far as the eye can see. How amazing is this?!? If you ‘re lucky, you ‘ll see the horses roam; it makes for the most romantic of views.
The Jewel at The Mountain Top Inn
The Jewel at Mountain Top Inn
This guest house was a great choice for the couple because they both had separate spaces to get ready in. Jarred got ready downstairs while Jamie was upstairs. They chose not to do a first look so keeping them away from each other until the ceremony was very easy with this set up.
DIY Bridal Bouquet
Jamie’s friend makes these wonderful artificial flower bouquet. I had no idea these were not real flowers until I touched them!
Balcony at The Jewel
We had fun with a picture of them right before the ceremony where Jamie was on the balcony and Jarred right under. They opted to not have a first look.
Ceremony site at The Mountain Top Inn
From the first moment I saw this arch I was in love. It comes pretty much decorated as it is surrounded by beautiful flowers (salvia and blush pink peonies). You can add your own special touch to it but in this case, Jamie and Jarred chose to leave it as it is. I think it looks beautiful!
This is one of my favorite pictures to take. The walk back from the aisle is a bit nerve wracking and couples always ask me what they should do when they reach the end. I always suggest turning and thanking everyone. I think it makes for a sweet picture and the guests are always beaming with love :)
Guests returning to The Jewel right after the ceremony
A fun short walk to The Jewel right from the ceremony site. The reception was set up in the back so that guest can enjoy the amazing view for the remainder of the day.
A little group formal fun!
Group shots were always hard for me. I disliked them because I felt that they were not creative enough and missed telling the story. But I turned that around and now they are my absolute favorites. I ll tell you why…
The in-between moments are pure gold. They are perfect windows into the dynamics of the family or group of friends. I absolutely love capturing them!
Like this one...
I can’t help but smile when I look at it. Yes, technically, I should’ve put the camera away and just waited for the next group. But how could I!? This is it. This is when the love shines through!!
Or this one...
Can i take a regular group photo? Yes. Do I? Always...
But let me have some fun :))
This right here, is the picture everyone should have with their grandma
It's hard to keep a straight face when you're having so much fun :))
