Ask Me Anything
Answers to the questions couples ask most about my approach, my process, and what it’s really like to work together.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Planning a wedding comes with plenty of moving pieces, and photography should feel like one of the easier ones.
Below are a few of the questions I am most often asked. If you don’t see yours here, I am of course always happy to talk through the details and help however I can.
What is the investment?
Full wedding day coverage with me begins at $6850, with collections tailored around what actually matters to you: whether that's more time, a second photographer, weekend coverage, film, an album etc
Some couples are planning an intimate celebration with their closest family, others are hosting a full wedding weekend with multiple events, activities, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties and albums.
For celebrations that extend beyond the wedding day, custom weekend coverage is available.
Once I have a better understanding of your plans, I will send you my full pricing guide along with everything you need to decide whether we are the right fit for each other.
A signed contract and a 20% non-refundable retainer officially reserve your date.
How many hours of coverage do most couples book?
Most couples book full-day coverage so the story of the wedding can be documented with the space and attention it deserves. Wedding day collections begin at 8 hours, though many celebrations especially larger events, multi-location weddings, or weekends with multiple gatherings benefit from additional coverage. I am always happy to help you decide what makes the most sense based on your plans, priorities, and the overall flow of the day. My goal is never to oversell time you don’t need, but I also never want you looking back wishing we had just one more hour.
How soon will we receive our images?
You’ll receive a preview gallery within 24–48 hours of the wedding so you have a beautiful first look at the day while everything is still fresh and your group chats are still very much alive. Full wedding galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks. Once your gallery is ready, your images will be available in a private online gallery where they can be downloaded, shared, and printed with ease.
How many images should we expect?
Every wedding is a little different, but most full wedding galleries include approximately 800–1,000 carefully edited images, depending on the length of coverage, the pace of the day, and the number of photographers involved. I tend to photograph generously, but I’m not interested in delivering hundreds of filler images just to hit a big number. My goal is to give you a gallery that feels complete, thoughtful, and full of the moments that actually mattered.
Do you edit all of the images?
Every image included in your final gallery is individually edited, in my signature style.
That includes adjustments for exposure, color, tone, and overall consistency so the gallery feels cohesive and polished from beginning to end. My editing style is warm, true to life, with a love for rich black-and-white imagery woven throughout. Black and white photography is actually where my roots are, I started there in college, so you can expect a healthy mix of both color and b&w in your final gallery. If you happen to love black and white as much as I do, I’m always happy to lean into that even more. Light retouching is also available whenever needed.
Do you work with planners and multi-day celebrations?
Absolutely.
Many of the weddings I photograph involve planners, multiple locations, welcome dinners, farewell gatherings, and full wedding weekends. I am very comfortable stepping into highly produced events, working closely with creative teams, and moving through the day in a way that feels seamless, calm, and unobtrusive. I know how much care goes into planning a wedding at this level, and I take that responsibility seriously.
My role is to create beautiful and honest photographs while making the process feel easy for both you and the entire team supporting you.
We’re ready to book. What happens next?
Wonderful! I would love to hear what you are planning!
The next step is simply to reach out through the contact form with a few details about your celebration. Once I’ve had a chance to review everything, I’ll be in touch with availability, collection information, and the next steps for making things official.
If I am photographing a wedding or event over the weekend, replies may take a little longer, but I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24–48 hours.
I can’t wait to learn more about you, your people, and the celebration you’re dreaming up!
A Few Vermont & New England Wedding
Vendors I Love
One of the best parts of this job is getting to work alongside so many incredibly talented people!
Over the years, I have photographed weddings with some truly wonderful planners, florists, musicians, cake artists, beauty teams, and other creatives throughout Vermont and New England. Because I am asked for recommendations all the time, I thought it might be helpful to share a few of them here.
These are simply professionals whose work I admire and whose presence I genuinely enjoyed on a wedding day. As always, I encourage every couple to do their own research and choose the team that feels most like them, but if you’re looking for a place to begin, this is a very good one.

What wedding venues do you frequently photograph?
As a Vermont wedding photographer I've had the privilege of photographing celebrations at many of the region's most beautiful venues. Becoming familiar with a venue means I know where the light is best, how the day naturally flows, great rain plan locations, and the little hidden spots that make for incredible portraits.
Some of the Vermont wedding venues I photograph most include:
• Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home (Manchester, VT)
• Woodstock Inn & Resort (Woodstock, VT)
• Mountain Top Resort (Chittenden, VT)
• The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa (Manchester, VT)
• Basin Harbor (Vergennes, VT)
• Farm Road Estate (West Dover, VT)
I also regularly photograph weddings throughout the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, the Berkshires, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and destination weddings across New England. If your venue isn't listed, don't worry, I love exploring new places just as much as returning to old favorites.
