Summer Vermont Wedding at Mountain Meadows Lodge | Vermont Wedding Photographer

For me, every wedding is memorable in its own way. In 2018, Gabby and Adam’s wedding was by far the most emotional for me. On so many different levels. I cried sad tears. I laughed happy tears. I danced and celebrated when I found out they have an ice cream bar instead of cake… So. Many. Emotions. I hope I managed to catch all of the little snippets in time for them. It was a truly special day for so many reasons. Not only for them as a couple but I believe for everyone present.

Gabby’s mom almost didn’t make it to the wedding due to some health issues. Being a mom myself and also a daughter to a mom I absolutely adore, my heart broke into a thousand pieces many times over that day. And then it was put together again and again throughout the day witnessing so much joy and love and kindness. I had a hard time even looking at Gabby’s eyes because they literally broke me. This girl has the most amazing, warm, beautiful blue eyes accompanied by the most infectious smile I have ever photographed… To see them fill up with tears was hard.

I say this a lot and many might not fully understand what I mean. Most other wedding photographers will. I feel my heart grow with every single couple I photograph. I am forever thankful to you all for sharing these precious moments with me…

Their first dance was to Peter Gabriel’s Book of Love

(This song is special to Mike and I and it was the first time I have ever heard it play at a wedding… the moment it started we both locked eyes. It was awesome!)

Best Photographer Ever! Idena captured all of our pure joyous and loving moments in the greatest way possible. We told her we did not want to spend a lot of time taking formal pictures, and she was able to capture every moment we hoped for without having us pull away from the party too long. We had a semi traditional Jewish wedding with many different parts across many different locations and she moved seamlessly and went with the flow not missing a beat. I also had the pleasure of having her in my suite while I got ready with my friends and she was so sweet and funny and brought nothing but good vibes right before the ceremony....”

It dawned on me that the day of the wedding is the day I finally get to really know the couple.

Beth and Dan- I met them for the engagement session, I talked to them on the phone a couple of times and e-mailed back and forth a bunch. But I only knew them, really knew them... when they were surrounded in a big circle of love by all their friends and family at the end of the night. Beth with happy tears in her eyes dancing with this funny, warm hearted man she gets to now call her husband. I get goose bumps just remembering that moment.

I'm looking forward to sharing more of their day soon...

Andrea and Matt. What can I say. Some people are just pure nuggets of gold walking around with their hearts bursting with love and goodness. Fun, kind, beautiful souls. So happy they managed to find each other in this lifetime.

Their wedding was pure joy to capture. Intimate. Short. Sweet. Love filled.

They chose to have two separate getting ready houses. Meadow's Edge for the groom and Mountain Aire for the bride. Both wonderful choices. Mountain Aire is my top pick at the resort. It is nestled in the woods on a dead end road. It's peaceful, spacious and bright. The kitchen is an absolute dream and the view is wonderful. It also has a tree house attached which makes it even cooler.

After the ceremony on The Knoll with the Green Mountains as their backdrop, they had a cozy and intimate reception diner at the Mountain Aire right in the living room by the stone fireplace. The in house chef prepared the meal right in that perfect kitchen I mentioned earlier and that also added even more to the already wonderful experience.

Intimate Summer Wedding at The Mountain Top Resort | Vermont Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share this intimate Vermont wedding with you!

I met Jamie and Jarred early last year and soon reconnected with an engagement shoot. I showed them around my side of Vermont but really just wanted to click with them. Well, it worked!  They had a small intimate wedding so it was important both for them and for me that we mesh well together. Hands down, two of the most amazing people I've ever met!

They planned a beautiful relaxed day surrounded by only close family and friends and it was nothing short of amazing. The weather was perfection and there was a sense of calm surrounding us all which I am sure will transpire through the images below.

The ceremony was on The Knoll with the Green Mountains as backdrop followed by a small reception right at The Jewel at Meadows Edge where the couple was staying.

June at the Mountain Top Inn is bursting in color: green mountains, fields of gold and blue skies as far as the eye can see. Pure bliss! You have to see it to believe it...

Travel Diary |Mexico Sights and Taste | Los Cabos Destination Wedding Photographer

What do you do when the North East of America is stuck in a deep freeze with minus -20F weather? You day dream of your recent trip to Los Cabos of course!

About a month or so ago I had the absolute pleasure and joy to travel to Los Cabos with my friend and fellow wedding photographer Matei Horvath. I usually don't take too many pictures for myself when I travel but this time, I did. Maybe because I had time to take it all in and actually relax which doesn't really happen too often on work trips.

We stayed at  Hilton Los Cabos hotel which, as you will see in my pictures below, is a beautiful place! The people were simply amazing! Warm, welcoming, and most importantly with a palpable love of life. From checking in and getting served a ice cold Marguerita by our wonderful valet, to the wedding coordinators we had the joy of working with and everybody in between, I couldn't have asked for better people to be surrounded with on this trip.

On my time off, I choose to relax either on my private patio overlooking the ocean or on the shady patio of the Eforea Spa. The ceiling fans were on during the hot part of the day so it was a quiet, cool place to just be and do absolutely nothing. They also have soft, relaxing music playing and it smells incredible from the massage oils.

As a coffee lover, I was pleasantly surprised to find a Starbucks serving shop on site.  It's called "Dulce"  (fun fact: "Dulce" means "sweet" in both Spanish and Romanian ) and from the outside, it looks like a regular gift shop. Inside, you will find that they serve all of your Starbucks favorites, ice cream and even cotton candy. It is a really neat spot and I am so happy it was there- I enjoy living on the wild side but familiar coffee is a must for me. The prices are decent and they do accept US dollars. The caffeine struggle is real y'all!

I got so spoiled with the hotel shops accepting US dollars that I was expecting the same for the shops at Los Cabos airport. Needless to say, I found myself in a shop line with only US dollars and they were not accepting the currency. Fortunately, the nice lady there gave me my order short a couple of Mexican cents but still-- be warned, once you leave your comfy hotel, real life is REAL

I really enjoyed the design and decor of this hotel. As a photographer I am inspired by everything around me and this was such a calming peaceful place to be in. The decor definitely contributed to the overall feel with muted beach colors and earthy, grounding textures.

The food was delicious and I particularly enjoyed a salad I had at the Azul tapas bar- not sure what the name was but It was one of the only vegetarian dishes on the menu (maybe you can show them the picture and they'll recognize it :) aaaand the view was amazing - I highly recommend this place!

On our first day, Matei wanted to try Mio. We both had tacos and they were sooooo good. I can't speak for him but maybe because I now live in New England and I am taco deprived most of the time I really enjoyed my dish. I enjoyed it so much I didn't even have time to take pictures of it :)

Bottom line is, if you travel to Los Cabos, Hilton is a beautiful place where to relax and have some well deserved rest. You will love it there! I am looking forward to returning myself, hopefully in the near future.

Love always,

Idena

Times Square Engagement Session |New York Photographer

This past weekend Mike and I drove to New York for a quick engagement session with the sweetest couple ever! It was so great to finally meet them and connect with them while roaming the streets  in 90 degree heat :)

Rachel and Adrian are planning their white winter Vermont wedding and finally got around to meet for their engagement sessions. I didn't get a lot of time to edit yet but I am so very excited about this one picture of the two of them in Times Square! I always wanted to play with a slow shutter speed and I finally had the chance- These two were troopers and up for anything :)

Thank you for indulging me with this one you two!!
